Motion Dampers and Lid Stop Dampers
Uncontrolled movements when opening and closing, lifting and lowering lids are dangerous, uncomfortable, and stress on the material.
Stabilus motion and lid stop dampers from the STAB-O-SHOC product line will solve this problem.
Through their damping force, each damper supports controlled motion during lifting and lowering of lid applications; they also reduce material wear by avoiding hard stops in the end position.

STAB-O-SHOC HD dampers from Stabilus are the most cost-efficient type for safe and reliable damping of uncontrolled movements.
As standard motion and lid stop dampers, they are characterized by a simple design, which makes them easy and inexpensive to manufacture. Further advantages are their high quality and safety levels, outstanding performance, and long service life of each damper.
STAB-O-SHOC oil-hydraulic motion or lid stop dampers come in two basic types; damping force is laid out either in the direction of tension or compression. It is characterized by a damping force required in only one direction of motion. It can also be varied path-dependent via the stroke by means of bypass grooves.
As simple lid end stop and motion dampers they are designed for vertical, orientation-specific mounting. However, when equipped with an additional, closed separating element, they can also be installed regardless of orientation.
Therefore, they are ideal as vibration dampers.

Vibration Dampers
Undesirable vibrations can interfere with the smooth running of machinery and equipment, shortening their service life. Vibration dampers from Stabilus convert the kinetic energy of moving components into thermal energy, reducing hard stops and large oscillation amplitudes.
Properties/Characteristics of STAB-O-SHOC Vibration Dampers
Oil hydraulic vibration dampers from the STAB-O-SHOC line usually feature symmetrical force distribution in the tension and compression directions. Typical models ensure evenly defined damping even when the movement is reversed.
Upon load reversal, the damping force will start instantaneously; i.e., the vibration dampers will connect directly for positive force transmission. Thanks to special integrated piston systems, the forces in the tension and compression directions can be set individually and independently of each other.
Different construction elements change their regulating effect on vibrations. Depending on the type, they can be installed in any orientation.
